These hubs are exact look alike stepped hubs as made by the factory between 1936 and 1940. We have chosen to make these hubs as much as possible as the originals. That means these hubs feature all OEM interchangeable parts. The bearings are as original, steel open ended cages with rollers. The finishing of these hubs is a black powdercoat ( for the real freaks we have partnumer 0396004 or 0396004CD in a park finish). The starcover on these particular hubs is a cadmium-look alike plating.It will over time wear out to look like the cadmium plating of ye olden days. The bearing surfaces in our hubs are HEAT TREATED to correct hardness, so that htese hubs will last another lifetime. DO NOT fall for the cheaply china made hubs that are NOT hardened properly.
